What are the entitlements for participants?

You will receive a Stride for Good T-shirt, bag and finisher medal. Finisher medals will be given on the event day after completion of the run.

A race bib will also be included in the race pack. All participants are required to wear their race bib on event day, as it serves as proof of registration and is required for entry into the race.

Can I run without the race bib?

No, participants are required to wear their race bib during the event. Race bibs are used to identify and verify registered participants for their respective race categories.

What do I have to bring on the race day?

Accepted Answer

Please ensure that you have your race bib and e-ticket with you as they are required for entry to the event.

Participants are also encouraged to bring only essential items and travel light.

Question 4

Is there a bag deposit area at the venue?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a bag deposit area will be available at the venue. Please note that the counter will close at 7.15 am. We encourage participants to arrive early to allow sufficient time to deposit their belongings before the counter closes.

While every effort will be made to ensure the safety and security of deposited belongings, the Organisers will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or delays in the retrieval of bags.

Question 5

Will I get my race timing upon completion of the race?

All participants in the 6 km competitive category will receive their race timing. These will be available via a website. Do scan the QR code at the event or check our event page (sfg.sg) for the website link.

The 3 km fun run is a non-competitive category and will not be timed.

Question 6

Can I bring my pets along?

Pets are strictly not permitted at this event. The Organisers will not be held responsible for any actions or incidents caused by participants or their pets.

Can I bring my child along?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can bring along your child as long as they are registered.

Are strollers allowed?

Accepted Answer

Strollers are not recommended as certain parts of the route may be crowded. If you choose to bring one, we encourage you to join the back of the starting wave to ensure your child’s safety and comfort.

Will there be official photographers?

Accepted Answer

Photography and/or videography will be taken during the event for publicity purposes and BCARE reserves the right to use any photographs, motion picture, recording, or any other record of the run for any legitimate purpose.

Is the route friendly for participants with disabilities?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is. However, part of the route includes Coney Island where the ground may be uneven. Participants are to take extra care.

Wheelchair users may enjoy the route along the park connector. However, please note that Coney Island has uneven terrain and is not suitable for wheelchair access.

There will be route marshals along the way to guide and look out for participants.

Are there any contingency plans for bad weather on the event day?

In the event of inclement weather, BCARE reserves the right to delay the commencement of the walk or jog. Should the inclement weather persist after delay, BCARE reserves the right to organise an indoor exercise session or cancel the event without any refund.

What if I am injured during the walk or jog, or unable to complete the run?

Please approach the route marshals deployed along the race route if you require immediate medical attention.

What safety measures do you have in place for the event?

Accepted Answer

There will be route marshals deployed to manage the crowd and look out for the safety of participants. The first aid team and ambulance will be on stand-by on site. If any participant requires assistance during the race, please approach any of the staff or volunteers.
